David Connor took top honors during the Summerville Country Club Men’s Open Championship held April 20-21.
Connor shot rounds of 73 and 71 to edge out runner up Ryan Castle by two strokes. Gary Hartmann finished with a 148 score to place third.
The President's cup champ (low net) was Wilson Rogers, who won the fourth flight with rounds of 77 and 73.
Charlie Peacock had a hole in one during the tournament, using a 5 iron to drive the ball 134 yards and ace Hole 11. The shot was witnessed by Tom Carmany and Jeff Scofield.
The Men’s Open is the first of servral events the Miler golf course hosts in late spring and early summer. The club will host the
40th anual Chick" Miler Invitational May 24-26 and its Father-Son/Daughter tournament June 22-23.
