Miss Carrie Jayne Fisher weds Mr. Charles William Hinnant III
Miss Carrie Jayne Fisher and Mr. Charles William Hinnant III were united in marriage on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at six o'clock in the evening at Old Wide Awake Plantation in Hollywood, SC. The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Alan Brown.
After the wedding, the bride's parents hosted a buffet dinner and reception at Old Wide Awake Plantation. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's mother hosted a rehearsal dinner at Magnolia’s restaurant in Charleston, SC.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Fisher of Summerville, SC. She is the granddaughter of the late Col. and Mrs. William Coleman of Seabrook Island and Mr. Alford Fisher of Greenwood, SC and Mrs. Lucy Cooper of Midway, GA.
The groom is the son of Dr. Charles Hinnant, Jr. of Anderson, SC and Ms. Cindy Little of Charleston, SC. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Pressel of Easley, SC and the Dr. and Mrs. Charles Hinnant, Sr. of Anderson, SC.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a dress restyled from her mother’s wedding gown. It was made by her mother-in-law, Cindy Little. The high-waisted dress is constructed of white silk Carmeuse with an ecru silk chiffon overlay and a second overlay of white netting with varying lace medallions.
The bodice has a sweetheart neckline accented with white Alençon lace and with petal sleeves of off-white Alençon lace from the original dress. The lace skirt overlay is edged with new white Alençon lace and the outermost edging is the off-white Alençon lace from her mother's dress. The train is chapel length with added white lace medallions. The bride's ecru silk tulle finger tip length mantilla-style veil is edged in original off-white lace that had pearls added by her late grandmother, Betty Coleman.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white roses and baby’s breath in the bouquet.
Miss Sarah Massenburg of Summerville, SC, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids included Mrs. Kristin Webb, sister of the bride of Birmingham, AL, Miss Lauren Hinnant, sister of the groom of Myrtle Beach, SC, Mrs. Marybeth Sanders-Wilson of Dallas, TX, Miss Emily Sauro of Summerville, SC, and Miss Kathryn Stief of Charlotte, NC.
The junior bridesmaid included Miss Madison Coleman, cousin of the bride of Charleston, SC, and the flower girl was Miss Libby Lowery of Summerville, SC. The Maid of Honor and bridesmaids wore cocktail-length Marine colored gowns. Each carried a hand-tied bouquet of white and blue hydrangeas.
Dr. Charles Hinnant, Jr., father of the groom of Anderson, SC, served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Mr. David Hinnant, brother of the groom of Columbia, SC, Mr. Seymour Jordan of Carver, MN, Mr. David Diamant of New York City, NY, Mr. Graham Renfro of Charlotte, NC, and Dr. James Lech of Anderson, SC.
The junior groomsman included Mr. Mitchell Coleman, the bride’s cousin of Charleston, SC, and the ring bearer was Mr. Chase Hunter Webb, the nephew of the bride of Birmingham, AL. The Best Man and groomsmen wore linen suits and chartreuse ties. The bride is a graduate of the Governor’s School of Arts and Humanities High School in Greenville, SC. She graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and South Carolina State University with a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology.
Beginning in August, she will work at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind in Spartanburg, SC. The groom is a graduate of T. L. Hanna High School in Anderson, SC. He graduated from College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. After graduating from Charlotte School of Law with a Juris Doctorate, he now works as an attorney at Jetton & Meredith, PLLC in Charlotte, NC.
Following a three-week honeymoon on a Mediterranean cruise, Carrie and Charles will reside in Charlotte, NC.
