Dorchester District Two has set its high school summer school dates and hours. They are as follows:
June 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and July 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23. The make-up date is July 24.
Classes will be held at Ashley Ridge High School from 7:45 a.m. to noon and 12:45 to 5 p.m.
Participants in summer school may register June 5 and 6, from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 – 6 p.m. at Ashley Ridge High School.
There will be no classes held Thursday and Friday, July 4 and 5. The last day of summer school is Tuesday July 23 with a make-up day on July 24.
Graduation is August 9 at Ashley Ridge High School at 10:00 a.m. This is based on the district’s summer school calendars and the SC Virtual School Program.
The cost of summer school is $275 per one-credit course; $140 per half-credit course. Driver education is $175 and earns a half-credit.
Students should first contact their school’s counseling department if interested in attending summer school.
