Holiday Drive is target for thieves

There was a rash of thefts from motor vehicles on Holiday Drive on May 18 and 19, according to police reports.
A number of vehicles were broken into at the Holiday Inn and Country Inn & Suites. Summerville Police K-9 Officer Luke tracked the suspected perpetrator(s) scent however the perpetrator(s) remain at large.
After a witness reported seeing his vehicle had been broken into and watching a man flee the scene, police recovered a green military-style “sea bag” behind a dumpster. Inside the bag, were items stolen from a number of vehicles.
Inside the witness’s vehicle, police found items from other thefts as well as a screwdriver that matched the tool marks where the thief gained entry.
Fingerprints were obtained from numerous sources.
