  • Thursday, June 13, 2013

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit has taken three suspects into custody and expects more arrests in connection with a meth lab that was in operation at the time of the discovery. Agents acting on a tip found an active meth lab at a residence at 124 Chris Lane, near U.S. 17-A & Farrell St. Moncks Corner, according to a statement released by BCSO Thursday afternoon. Deputies smelled a strong chemical odor and observed a thick white cloud coming from inside the house, according to BCSO. Agents identified the odor and white smoke as a product of a meth lab. A search warrant was executed on the residence where agents located an active meth lab in the kitchen, along with methamphetamine components and paraphernalia throughout the house. Arrested was Bryan Allen Adkins, 26, of 124 Chris Lane, Mathew Benjamin Legette, 32, of 360 Volunteer Lane, Summerville and Brittney Dane Euthon, 23, of 310 Bayboro Circle, Goose Creek. All were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and are being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center awaiting bond hearings. Agents say more arrests are expected in this case.
