Third Thursday to feature Shaggin’ on the Square

  • Tuesday, June 18, 2013

Provided Residents are invited to come out to bend an ankle to the state dance as DREAM hosts one of it’s more popular Third Thursday events.

There will be “Shaggin’ on the Square” and in the street in Downtown Summerville tomorrow night from 5-8 p.m.
The Local Motion Party Band will be playing your favorite party tunes, and dancers of all ages are invited to come join the fun led by the Summerville Shag Club!
Stop by the Art Walk on Short Central Avenue featuring art and craft booths and more live music with Joseph Tedesco. It’s always a party in Downtown Summerville for Third Thursday! Downtown Summerville includes both sides of Main Street/Hutchinson Square (by Guerin's Pharmacy and Sweetwater Cafe), [Short] Central Avenue (by The Village Knittery and Marigold's), West and East Doty Avenues (by Perfectly Franks and the Summerville Dorchester Museum) and West and East Richardson Avenues (by The Finishing Touch, Sarah's View and Community Christian Store).
Walk along 'Little' Main and enjoy the classic cars. Have a question about a car? Just ask!! These cars are truly labors of love.
The Hot Shots will be performing in front of People, Places and Quilts. Always a crowd favorite.
Come and join us in Historic Downtown Summerville as our shops and restaurants will be open late and some will have special promotions.
DREAM hopes to see you there....rain or shine. It's a great way to check out some of the downtown stores and merchants and an opportunity to shop local.
