Tuesday, July 2 • 7 p.m.
The Lowcountry Conservatives In Action will celebrate America's Independence with a free traditional hotdog feast, followed by patriotic music and entertainment. Bob and Gwen Peeples will lead a singalong with music to videos, as well as a skit. Jim Dirkes will round out the evening with his thoughts on the Founding Fathers.
The group will supply hotdogs and drinks; guests are welcome to bring a dish to share. The public is invited.
Location: Country Inn and Suites, Holiday Road, Summerville.
Monday, July 1 – 9 a.m. – Weight Training. Designed to improve muscle strength and bone density, this class will help tone your body. Bring a towel, mat, and a pair of three-pound weights. Instructor: Ronna Toombs. (You must be a member of H2U to participate)
Tuesday, July 2 – 2:30 p.m. Tai Chi: The Tai Chi for Health form is a fun to learn, simplified form that is appropriate for almost everyone, including seniors and those with limited range of motion. Also a stress managing technique, Tai Chi promotes relaxation of the mind through focusing on the body. Instructor: Sherul Iwanski-Brown. (You must be a member of H2U to participate)
Wednesday, July 3 – 1 p.m. Computer Essentials, "Let's Talk": Computer Jargon and Terminology (or how to speak like a Geek). Know what the technician is saying and what to say in return. (Class size is limited, please sign up at front desk, first come, first served)
Thursday, July 4: Closed for Independence Day
Friday, July 5 – 2 p.m. Game Group: Bring your favorite board game and come join us for some fun and socialization. New members welcome!
