Choose your friends wisely
Summerville Police were called to Kentucky Fried Chicken on North Main Street June 22, for a vehicle damaged by gunfire. The complainant told police that while she was inside KFC she had a verbal altercation with a man and a woman. She said the man grabbed for a bulge in his pants that resembled a revolver and told her he was going to shoot her vehicle. The two then left KFC. A few minutes later the victim heard gunshots. She discovered her car had bullet holes in the windshield and front headlight. A Dorchester County Sheriff’s Deputy was able to locate the vehicle the suspects left in, but only the female was in the vehicle at the time. She told police that she had left the male at KFC but then decided to give him a ride. When he got in her car he told her he had shot up the victim’s car. She told police she had “never been in this situation before and did not know what to do.” She was placed under arrest.
“No” means “No!”
The Holiday Inn Express was the scene for a Criminal Domestic Violence assault June 25. The victim contact Summerville Police to report that her boyfriend had assaulted her and that she had stabbed him in the hand while defending herself. The boyfriend left the scene and the victim followed him. Officers located the subject with the victim following him in the hotel parking lot. The subject had a towel wrapped around his hand. The victim told police that the argument ensued when the victim declined to have intercourse. The subject grabbed her around the neck and punched her causing them both to fall onto the bed. The victim said she grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed the subject to free herself.
The victim further told police the subject grabbed her wallet and left the room. She followed him to Walmart where he removed $7,000 and threw the wallet on the ground. The subject denied that he had touched her wallet. However, surveillance video from Walmart verified the victim’s statement.
Tea for two and two for jail
Dorchester County deputies were called to Victoria Pointe Lane in Summerville for a 911 Hang up call. According to the wife, she was arguing with her husband about dishes in the dishwasher when he pushed her out of the bathroom and locked the door. She then picked the locked with a wire coat hanger and entered the bathroom to get her clothes, she told police. Her husband pushed her back out and over a chair. She sustained scratches, observed police.
However, according to the husband, while he was throwing his wife’s suitcase from the balcony onto the first floor, his wife grabbed the suitcase to keep her laptop, that was inside the case, from being broken, and slapped him across the face. Police observed injuries to his face and ear consistent with his statement.
Police determined both husband and wife were primary aggressors and arrested them both remanding them to the Summerville Annex.
