Summerville Parks and Recreation Manager Doyle Best and his crew installed ramps at the town’s new skate park Wednesday. Gerald Hitch, a sales consultant based in Camden with General Recreation, assisted along with two General Recreation skate park specialists from Pennsylvania. Best anticipated the skate park would be open to the public sometime next week. The park is located in the small Sasportas neighborhood in the shadow of Memorial Stadium near the intersection of Richland and Magnolia streets.
