A damp course hurt the scores during the rain-delayed eighth match of the Charleston Area Mens’ Interclub Golf Association season.
Miler had the most success at the Crowfield course on July 7, coming in with a minus 2 score to win the match. Wescott placed second with a negative 5 mark and Charleston Municipal placed third with a negative 6. Trailing were Rivertowne (-10), Pine Forest (-11), Coosaw Creek (-12), Crowfield (-15), Charleston National (-23), Berkeley (-25), Dunes West (-30), Stono Ferry (-41), Shadowmoss (-42) and Legend Oaks (-66).
The top individual was Rich Lindgren of Coosaw Creek who had a round of plus 13. David Suggs, also of Coosaw, carded a plus 9 and Victor Quinones of Crowfield carded a plus 6. Full results can be found on chsinterclub.org.
Coosaw Creek leads the season standings with 78 points. Pine Forest is close behind with 72 points. Trailing are Miler (66.5), Wescott (66.5), Charleston National (64.5), Crowfield (61), Shadowmoss (58.5), Dunes West (52.5), Legend Oaks (50), Charleston Municipal (47.5), Rivertowne (47), Berkeley (44.5) and Stono Ferry (35.5).
The next match is scheduled for 9 a.m. Aug. 5 at the Wescott Plantation course.
