Local man published first book

Summerville resident Tom Tatum has just published his first book.
Titled If Tigers Were Angels, the book is religious fiction and follows Ben Taylor, a workaholic in his efforts to climb the corporate ladder. At middle age, the protagonist realizes he has ignored his family but his children are grown and gone. However salvation may come in the form of a 12-year-old neighbor, Tiger Swallowtail butterflies and his relationship with God.
Tatum, an Orangeburg native, holds a BS in Engineering from USC and has served in the Air Force. In 1998 he formed his own construction company. He moved to Summerville with his wife Kathy in 2005 to be nearer his children and grandchildren. He is now retired and is focusing on being a novelist.
His book is self-published through iUniverse and available in hardcover, paperback or eBook format through iUniverse, Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Goodreads.
