Man dies in Cainhoy shooting

One man is dead after an early Sunday shooting at a Cainhoy nightclub.
Herman Manigault III, 20, of Wando was shot sometime before 4 a.m. at “A Place in The Woods” at 1020 Hamlin Corner Rd, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.
Manigualt was transported to Mt. Pleasant Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:26 a.m., according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.
When deputies arrived they found a severely injured man in the parking lot of the club, according to a statement released by BCSO on Sunday afternoon.
Investigators are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death as a homicide.
BCSO is following up on leads and is asking that anyone who was at the club at the time of the incident or has information on the shooting to please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 843-719-4424 or call Crimestoppers at 843-554-1111 and remain anonymous.
