The town of Summerville has rescheduled its Independence Day fireworks show for this Sunday, Sept. 1 at the Jerry Blackwell Sports Complex in Gahagan Park.
While there is no set time for the show to begin, it will likely start between 8 and 8:15 p.m. after the sun goes down, according to parks and recreation Manager Doyle Best.
Concessions such as hotdogs, hamburgers, boiled peanuts, kettle corn and Italian ice will be sold during the event.
Best said guests are welcome to bring blankets and chairs, but grilling, personal fireworks and pets are not allowed at the complex.
Attendants will direct traffic into normal and overflow parking areas.
