SJS taking nominations for Women to Watch

  • Tuesday, August 27, 2013

Nominations are now being accepted by The Summerville Journal Scene for the annual “Women to Watch” special section highlighting women in our community. The section spotlights women from a diversity of work environments.
Our past winners have included artists, tradespeople, homemaker/volunteers, lawyers, medical professionals, politicians, mechanics and technicians. But the common thread is always a reach into the community beyond work. Through their volunteerism, The Journal Scene’s winners of Women to Watch have made the greater Summerville area an even better place to live.
Nominations must include a cover letter, basic biographical information about the nominee and contact information for both the nominator and nominee, including a phone number, e-mail and address.
Submit your nominations to Judy Watts, Summerville Journal Scene, 104 E. Doty Ave., Summerville, SC 29483 or jwatts@journalscene.com. For e-mail, please include Women to Watch in the subject line for all submissions.
The winners will be honored at a reception hosted by The Journal Scene later this fall.
Deadline for nominations is September 23.
