Major crash shuts down Boone Hill Road

Boone Hill Road (17-A) was shut down following a tractor-trailer vs. SUV crash at about 2:30 Thursday afternoon. Traffic was being rerouted and still moving as of 3:15 p.m.
Unofficial reports reflect minor injuries. The tractor-trailer driver was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
At least one person who had been traveling in the SUV was ambulatory at the scene.
S.C. Highway Patrol is handling the investigation. Responding agencies were SPD Dorchester County Sheriff's deputies, Summerville fire Department an Old Fort Fire Department and Dorchester County EMS.
