The month of September ushers in the official start of autumn. By the end of the month, the summer time heat and humidity slowly give way to cooler mornings and evenings, bringing with them a slight fall crispness in the air. While it might be hot outside now, it won’t be long before the temperature starts dropping and long summer days turn to cool winter nights.
For many in South Carolina, the end of summer means more than fewer trips to the swimming pool, it means cold mornings at the bus-stop and having to bundle up to keep warm. Unfortunately, many in South Carolina will face this winter without a coat to keep them warm. That is why we are asking you to help South Carolina Chiropractic Association make a difference.
This year, the Association will be accepting donations of new and lightly worn coats to help clothe the less fortunate in South Carolina. In addition to coats, the group will also be collecting unwrapped children’s toys to be distributed to underprivileged children in South Carolina.
New and lightly worn coats and unwrapped children’s toys will be collected until Nov. 15 at Dr. Brian Quattlebaum’s office, Palmetto Wellness Center, 302A Midland Parkway, Summerville. For more information on getting involved or for additional details on drop-off locations, visit scchiropractic.org or call 552-8000.
