Proceeds to fund technology, athletics and science equipment

Pinewood Preparatory School has opened registration for the 15th annual Pinewood Prep Golf Classic.
The tournament will be held Sept. 27 at Legend Oaks Golf Club in Summerville. The annual event draws hundreds of participants looking to enjoy a day on the course in support of the Summerville independent school. Proceeds raised from this year’s tournament will fund technology, athletic equipment, science hardware and the school’s library.
BB&T is the title sponsor for this year’s event.
“We are thrilled to present the Pinewood Golf Classic,” Frank Bullard, BB&T Market President, said. “Hosting this event in support of one of the top independent schools in the Lowcountry is a privilege. We are looking forward to a great day on the course on Sept. 27.”
The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast, followed by a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.  Teams will be treated to 18 holes of golf, snacks, beverages and games on the field, and a luncheon hosted by Epicure Catering.
The event committee will award prize packages to the top five teams. The packages include golf for four at the Inn at Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton; the Wild Dunes’ Harbor Course; Mystical Golf in Myrtle Beach; and Coosaw Creek Country Club.
