South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers responded to the accident at 4:55 a.m. According to Senior Trooper Bridget Wyant, a 2012 Dodge van was traveling west, ran off the left side of the road, into a ditch, struck a tree and road sign before stopping.
The Berkeley County Coroner's office identified Moore and said he was not wearing a seatbelt.
According to Wyant, the accident is under investigation.

Summerville man killed in crash

Jackie Moore, 45, of Summerville was killed Thursday morning in a one-car accident on Old Dairy Road in Berkeley County.
South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers responded to the accident at 4:55 a.m. According to Senior Trooper Bridget Wyant, a 2012 Dodge van was traveling west, ran off the left side of the road, into a ditch, struck a tree and road sign before stopping.
The Berkeley County Coroner's office identified Moore and said he was not wearing a seatbelt.
According to Wyant, the accident is under investigation.
