Rea F. Ottinger Sr.

Rea Frederick Ottinger Sr. of Cross, a retired diver for the U.S. Navy, died on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 3, 2013 at his residence. He was 75.
Surviving are his wife, Susie Miles Ottinger; three daughters, Sue L. Frierson of Williston, Donna G. Purvis and her husband, James, of Little Mountain, and Cindy F. Miller of Gaston; four sons, Rea F. Ottinger Jr. and his wife, Carol, of Pamplico, Stephen R. Ottinger and his wife, Lorraine, of Charleston, Russell L. Sharpe Jr. and his wife, Sandy, of Gaston, and Marty L. Sharpe Sr. of Swansea; four sisters, Celine Spencer, and her husband, Howard, Amy Morris and her husband, Jeff, Mary Ottinger, and Judy Jeffers and her husband, Kenny; seven brothers, Bob Ottinger and his wife, Yoki, Pat Ottinger and his wife, Liz, Henry Ottinger, and his wife, Debbie, Tom Ottinger and his wife, Ruth, Mark Ottinger, and his wife, Cindy, Chuck Ottinger and his wife, Theresa, Luke Ottinger and his wife, Patty, and Michael Ottinger; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
