Dorchester County Sheriff’s deputies were contacted by Colleton County Medical Center in reference to a shooting September 7 that occurred on Alonzo Road.
The victim told police he was the location around 3:30 a.m. drinking with a friend. He said an argument ensued over a female and escalated to a physical altercation when he struck his friend with his fist. His friend reached in his pocket and pulled out a small semi-automatic pistol.
The victim said he tried to take it away and it went off. After the weapon went off, the victim said they both left, in separate directions.
The victim went to another friend’s residence where he realized he had been shot in the foot. He got back in his car and went to the hospital.
The victim refused to tell police the name of his friend or where the friend lives.
Two motor vehicles were stolen September 4, according to Summerville Police incident reports. One was taken from Pine Forest Country Club on Glen Eagles Drive in Summerville and the other from Holiday Inn Express on Holiday Dr., in Summerville.
Between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following morning, a red Ford F-350 truck was stolen from the Holiday Inn Express. It was locked, although the complainant told police there was a sliding rear window that may not have been. The truck is valued at $10,000.
A white Ford F-250 was stolen from a driveway between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6:30 a.m., on Glen Eagles Dr. The truck was locked. The truck is valued at $17,000 and the golf clubs in the truck are valued at $2,100.
