Thieves break into Pig, steal cigarettes

Summerville Police responded to Mr. K’s Piggly Wiggly on Central Avenue September 16 at 2:30 a.m. for an alarm. Upon arrival, police saw the bottom section of the front entrance was removed and the metal strips securing the glass to the doorframe were scattered on the ground.
The key holder arrived and provided a preliminary inventory of what was missing. He said approximately 187 cartons of cigarettes had been stolen, valued at $8,415.
Police are looking at surveillance video and fingerprints.
