SHS NJROTC Team takes first place

The Summerville High School Navy Junior ROTC took first place overall in the Navy JROTC Drill Meet held at West Ashley High School on Sept. 21. Seven ROTC Units competed in the meet. The Drill Meet was sponsored by West Ashley High School Navy JROTC Unit. Summerville Cadets took 1st place overall, 1st Place Armed Platoon, 3rd Place Unarmed Platoon, 1st Place Varsity Color Guard, 1st Place Junior Unarmed Squad, 1st Place junior color Guard. The drill team commanders are Cadet Commander Brienne Fredriksen and Cadet Lieutenant Commander Cameron Kunce. The coach of the drill team is Naval Science Instructor Master Chief Chris McCool.
