What does French-influence appetizer, science projects, artists, and a beautiful Sunday afternoon have in common? The answer is Once Upon a Gala ~ The SCIENCE of ART Fall FUN-d Raiser.

The Flowertown Players will host The SCIENCE of ART Fall FUN-d Raiser on Sun., Oct. 13 from 3-7 p.m. at the Ice House Restaurant located at 104 E. Doty Avenue. Cost is $20 in advance, $25 at the door per person. Proceeds will be used for the exterior renovations to the theatre and to support the most aggressive show calendar to date.

In the spirit of the next production, “Picasso at the Lapin Agile” (written by funny-man Steve Martin), the event will feature a French-influenced appetizer buffet, one specialty drink (must be 21), an art show by a new group “Artists with Conviction Coalition,” science and art presentations, caricature artist, sneak peek of “Picasso” and a silent auction. Most of all, it is an invitation to socialize in a fun and imaginative way. The Ice House is graciously opening their doors to the community for this event on a fall Sunday afternoon.

The Flowertown Players is a non-profit organization, which provides theatrical and educational opportunities to the members of the tri-county community. Your support is greatly appreciated.
