Radiologist Dr. John McGue serves as the lead interpreting physician for the Trident Breast Care Center, which offers comprehensive services including mammograms, breast ultrasound, MRI and minimally invasive biopsies. “We are very experienced, and that's at every level of the team,” says Dr. McGue. While the center has a busy schedule of activities during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, its work to support women's health continues year-round. Recently, the center expanded and underwent extensive renovations to offer more privacy and a sense of serenity for visitors. The staff is also careful to treat each woman as an individual. For Dr. McGue, that means delivering news with honesty while also trying to alleviate fears and anxiety. “Cancer is an emotional disease, and my role and the role of our team at the Trident Breast Care Center is to do our job right and to do it in a compassionate way.”
