Sen. Tim Scott to speak at Summerville luncheon

  • Thursday, October 17, 2013

Sen. Tim Scott will speak at the Greater Summerville/Dorchester County Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Industry Appreciation Luncheon on Oct. 21.

Scott, a Lowcountry native, was sworn in as a United States Senator in January. Previously he was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, the South Carolina State House, and the Charleston County Council.

The luncheon serves as an “official thank you to the manufacturing community.” Scott was chosen as keynote speaker in large part because of his support of small businesses.

Bethany United Methodist Church will host the luncheon. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and will take place from 11:30-1 p.m.

Tickets are available to Chamber members for $45 and non-Chamber members for $75. For more information, visit www.greatersummerville.org or call (843) 873-2931.
