Softball benefit

The Del Webb Softball Club is sponsoring a fund-raiser softball game at Cane Bay High School Oct. 19.

The benefit game is in support of Operation Finally Home, a program that provides new mortgage-free homes to Wounded Warriors. The game will feature the over-the-hill “Codgers” against the fit-and-trim Pulte builders.

The pre-game ceremonies begin at 12:30 P.M. and the day’s festivities will include lunch for all ticket holders, as Club President Chuck Salley will open his famous poolside Luncheon Kiosk at the field to serve burgers, hot dogs, drinks and chips to all in attendance.

Tickets are $10 and will be available at the gate up until game time.
