After two years in Elliotborough, Jericho Advisors is moving to the Avondale neighborhood of Charleston. As the business has grown, we required a more prominent location to provide convenience for clients and offices for the growing team. We also have created a dedicated space for larger art exhibitions, seminars, and events.
We are happy to make a home near Lava Salon, Gene's Haufbrau, SpaceCraft and the Voodoo Lounge, and feel fortunate to be among other distinguished locally-owned Charleston businesses.
Along with a new office, we are honored to introduce Mario Nardone and April Adams, the new additions to the firm:
Mario Nardone, CFA is a Pennsylvania native who began his investment career in 1999 working for Vanguard. He moved to the Lowcountry in 2010 to take on the role of Chief Investment Officer with Morris Financial Concepts, Inc. A Chartered Financial Analyst, Mario currently serves as President of the CFA Society South Carolina and as Treasurer of the East Cooper Land Trust. Mario's 10 year investment career is an invaluable asset, and Jericho Advisors is proud to welcome Mario as our new Director of Investment Strategies.
April Adams joins our team as Public Relations & Marketing Manager. A native of Aiken, SC, April worked extensively with skirt! Magazine, The Reynolds Group, Charleston Fashion Week, Little Dog Agency and the Charleston CVB throughout her time at the College of Charleston. April's comprehensive knowledge of public relations, event management and the Charleston community will be sure to enhance Jericho Advisors' growth. We are very enthusiastic about the future ahead, and we hope to see you at our upcoming private Grand Opening on October 10 from 5-8pm. At our October 10 opening, attendees will have the opportunity to meet the new Jericho team and our featured artists. The very first exhibitors at Jericho's new space will be Tanya Boggs, Kate Wichlinski, Janie Askew, and Sarah Boyts Yoder. Tanya Boggs Tanya Boggs is a photo-based artist who has worked with photography, installation, and video. Her photo and video work has been shown internationally at such venues as Everson Museum of Art, Visual Studies Workshop and the Forest City Gallery in Ontario. Her photography has also been published in various magazines, such as Camera Arts and the cover image for The Sun. Tanya received her Master of Fine Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute in May 2007. Tanya relocated back to Charleston from the San Francisco Bay Area in 2010 and currently teaches at the College of Charleston while running a successful portrait business, Tanya Boggs Photography.
Kate Wichlinski is a modern photographer who focuses solely on portraiture. Wichlinski uses themes of emotion and androgyny to capture candid and complex pieces of her subjects, including herself. Using her 1970's film cameras, she creates personal and intimate images. Wichlinski, who has an MFA in photography from the University of Memphis, follows a pattern with her us of light, familiar subjects and self portraiture. This will be Wichlinski's second time showing her work with Jericho Advisors. Sarah Boyts Yoder Sarah Boyts Yoder is inspired by the unorthodox. Yoder mixes mediums from oil paint, house paint and writing utensils to create unpredictability in her work. Animated by her children and the family's dynamic, it is not uncommon to find a daughter's handprint or more in her pieces. A native of Fort Worth, Texas, Yoder focuses on the bright and abstract to create multilayered mixed media pieces. Yoder has showcased Michael Mitchell Gallery, Oak Barrel Tavern and various other pop-up art shows. Janie Askew
