Kids ages 2-5, get your costumes ready for some early trick-or treating fun with the Mount Pleasant Recreation Department. Families from throughout Mount Pleasant and beyond are invited to spend an afternoon of free Halloween fun in the Old Village neighborhood. On Wednesday, Oct. 30, MPRD will host the annual Halloween in the Old Village event from noon to 2 p.m. at the G.M. Darby Building recreation facility.
Donning their best Halloween costumes, children from throughout the area are invited to play “trick or treat” and fill their bags with Halloween surprises. Various themed games and crafts will be held in the building, while a jump castle and pony rides will be available outdoors. Participants can also have their faces painted, watch a magic show and come aboard a fire truck to visit members of the Mount Pleasant Fire Department.
The G.M. Darby Building is located in the Old Village area of Mount Pleasant at the intersection of Pitt and King Streets. The event is free of charge.
