  • Wednesday, November 6, 2013

Dorchester County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Tastee Freeze on Boone Hill Rd., in Summerville Oct. 28, for a report of a sexual assault. The complainant told police her 15-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted the day before. The victim told police she attends Summerville High School and that around 7 a.m. the day before, her ex-boyfriend had asked her to skip school and go with him to talk. She said she told him “no” but that he told her “then I will make you.”

She said she went with him to Parks Ball Field where he did not want to talk but have sex. She said she told him “no” but the suspect began touching her “softly” to try and get her to have sex. She said he continued to do so from about 7:30 a.m. to about 2:30 p.m. at which time he began to grab her and bite her. She said he continued to get rough and she continued to say “no.” She said he then got rougher so she agreed to have sex to get him to stop hurting her. She told police the sex was very rough and the suspect did not use a condom.

Afterward they both walked back to SHS.

The victim provided police with a voluntary written statement. The victim went to MUSC for a rape kit. The incident is under investigation.
