Riley III, Jerry T. ‘Buck’

Jerry T. “Buck” Riley, III, 58, of 131 Sampson Road, Ridgeville, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 04, 2013 at MUSC.

Funeral Services were held 1:00 PM Thursday at Memorial Baptist Church with the Reverend Clay Shook and Haskell Parler officiating. Burial followed in the Harleyville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Coker, Frank Peale, Shawn Dupree, Alex Batten, Jay Batten and Travis Batten. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tyler Dupree, Lee Jackson, Eddie Kizer, Chris Rice, Bryan Miller, Harvey Kizer and brothers of the local Union USW 216. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5:007:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home.

Jerry was born on July 25, 1955, a son of Barbara Dantzler and the late Jerry T. Riley, Jr. He was a 1972 graduate of Harleyville-Ridgeville High School, a retired electrician with Giant Cement Plant and former Union president.

Surviving is his son, Shawn (Wendi Lynn) Riley and a daughter, Shannon (Spence) Bozard, all of St. George; grandchildren, Baylynn, Madilynn and Jet Riley and Cody and Jackson Maw; his mother, Barbara D. (Herman) Ardis, Manning0; a sister, Virginia Bailey, Memphis, TN and a brother, Thomas “Tommy” Riley, Ridgeville.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Memorial Baptist Church, PO Box 566, St. George, SC 29477.
