The Good Eats on the Sweet Tea Trail Tour will take to the roads on Friday with sweet tea and local delicacies.

There are 11 local establishments providing tastes of the town ranging from protein smoothies from Healthy Delights to shrimp and grits from Montreaux Bar and Grill to liver pudding and souse from Spell’s Grocery.

Local storyteller Tim Lowry will be entertaining the crowd with stories of the American Revolution, the social significance of souse meat and the history of tea in Summerville.

The Nov. 15 tour has already sold out but another Good Eats tour will be on Dec. 20. It takes off from the Summerville Visitor Center and the cost is $25. For more information on other holiday tours including the Sweet Tea Trolley Tour and the Christmas Southern Style Tour, visit the Summerville Visitor Center.
