Come Join the Parade

  • Wednesday, November 13, 2013

The Summerville Christmas Parade, hosted by Summerville DREAM, is planned for Sunday, Dec. 8.

Plan to celebrate a “Sweet Southern Christmas” on Sunday, Dec. 8, when Summerville Dream and the Summerville Fire Department host this year’s Christmas Parade.

Add to Summerville’s holiday sparkle by showcasing your favorite memories, traditions, foods, music, and decorations – everything to evoke this year’s theme of a “Sweet Southern Christmas.” All organizations, businesses, non-profits, civic and school groups, and churches are welcome to participate.

Parade entries will be judged and prizes awarded for adherence to the theme, creativity, originality, and best overall. The parade is the year’s best opportunity to highlight your group in front of some 3000 participants and 15/,000 spectators.

Grab your jingle bells, deck those floats, and brush up on your carols! But get in the holiday spirit quickly, because Santa can’t be late and neither can you. Registration forms must be received no later than Friday, Nov. 22 by 4 p.m. Title and sound sponsorships are available, as well.

Please see the Summerville Dream’s website, www.summervilledream.org/Summerville-Christmas-Parade, for details and to download the registration form, or contact Jan Hursey at jan@ summervilledream.org for more information.
