GREEN, TONY

Anthony Peter Green (Tony Green) ascended to heaven on the morning of Sunday, November 3, 2013. He is joining his beloved wife of 71 years Mary Ellen FitzGerald Green who passed in April 2013.

Born in 1918 in Locust Point he lived his entire life Baltimore, MD. He was a Maryland All Star Champion soccer player in his early 20’s. A dignified veteran of WWII, Mr. Green served his country proudly as a Warrant Officer. Mr. Green was an avid golfer and a active member of the Catholic Church.

Loving and devoted father to Dennis Green of San Francisco, CA and Betsi Green of Summerville, SC. beloved Grandfather of Chelsea Green, Anthony John Kalinofski-Green (AJ Green) and MacKenzie Green; Dear Father-In-Law to Katherine Green and John Kalinofski.

Mr. Green spent his final months living in the South Carolina LowCountry with his family. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in the name of Anthony Green to Piedmont Hospice; 501-A Deanna Lane; Wando, SC 29492.

LUKE, ANN

Ann Vogt Luke, 96, of Summerville, SC, widow of Allan L. Luke, Jr., passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at The Village at Summerville – Presbyterian Communities of SC.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Timrod Library, 217 Central Ave., Summerville SC 29483 or to The Village at Summerville — PCSC, 201 W. 9th North St., Summerville, SC 29483.

Mrs. Luke was born on December 2, 1916 in Tyrone, PA, a daughter of Alexis Barnard Vogt and Nellie Ann Foolks Vogt. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul’s Summerville. She was also a longtime board member for the Timrod Library.

Survivors include four grandsons, Richmond M. Luke, Jr. of Randolph, NJ, Allan L. Luke, II of Columbia, SC, Allan L. Luke, IV of Mesa, AZ and Nelson T. Conard of Charlotte, NC; one granddaughter, Lindsay Anne Luke of Mesa, AZ and several great grandchildren.
