Mon. Nov. 18, 1 p.m.

Mexican Dominoes, also known as Trains. Barbara Fitzgerald teaches this version of dominoes on Mondays 1 to 3 p.m. If you have a set a Mexican Dominoes set, please bring them. New members welcome.

Tues. Nov. 19, 9 a.m.

Bocce Ball. Come and try out this new outdoor group activity, formed by popular demand. This is a great opportunity for you to learn how to play the game and have a little competitive fun.

Wed. Nov. 20, 10 a.m.

Decades Day. Since everyone had so much fun with the 1950’s and 1960’s Decades Days, the celebration of great memories of past decades will continue. In November, there will be a celebration of the 70’s…the days of Disco and Tie-Dye. Come dressed in clothing from the era, or bring in favorite memorabilia from that decade. There will be an informal “Fashion Show” with members who come dressed for the part, or have items they would like to share stories about.

Thurs. Nov. 21, 10 a.m.

Nutrition Series. Jean Muller is a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist recently retired from Summerville Medical Center. She will be teaching monthly classes on eating to stay healthy. This month she will discuss “Celebrate the Holidays with Healthy Food Choices”. She will discuss strategies and rewards for making healthy food choices during the holidays, seasonal foods that are awesome for health and meal and recipe makeovers for Holiday favorites.

Fri. Nov. 22, 8:30 a.m.

AARP Defensive Driving Course: To be eligible for this course, you must be at least 50, but you don’t have to be a member or AARP. Companies offering automobile insurance in South Carolina must give a discount to drivers over are 55 who do not use their cars to go to work and have no male drivers under 25 in their households. Discounts from 2 to 10 percent are given to drivers over 25 who take a defensive driving course such as this one. This discount is good for three years and may be renewed by taking this course again. $12 for AARP members, $14 for non-AARP members, Friday, November 22, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
