Share the Magic of Christmas

Tammy Mitchum donates unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots at the Summerville Journal Scene.

Every child should be able to experience the joy and magic of Christmas. There’s no other feeling like the excitement of waking up Christmas morning in anticipation of finding out what Santa delivered.

A new addition to our Breakfast with Santa event will include Toys for Tots drop-box. Donate a new, unwrapped toy at the event to be entered to win a Summerville Gift Basket.

The goal of the United State Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program is to help less fortunate children throughout the United States and deliver them a message of hope during the holiday season.

Over its life span, the Marine Toys for Tots Program distributed over 469 million toys to over 216 million less fortunate children. In 2012, the organization distributed nearly 16.8 million toys to more than 7 million children.

After Breakfast with Santa, toy donations can be dropped off at the Summerville Journal Scene office located at 104 E. Doty Ave. in Downtown Summerville or The Berkeley Independent office located at 323-B East Main St. in Moncks Corner.
