Trident offers wedding planning classes

To assist those planning weddings on a budget, the Trident Technical College Division of Continuing Education and Economic Development is pleased to announce some exciting new classes being offered in Spring 2014 as well as some traditional favorites.

With offerings ranging from floral design and sugar flower making, to taking the fear out of fondant cakes, there’s sure to be something offered to save you money on the wedding planning process.

The Wedding Cake: As one of the most memorable aspects of your grand day, imagine how truly spectacular it would be to design your own wedding cake or to have a friend or family member prepare it for you?

Trident Technical College offers classes for the beginner to intermediate to get you ready for that big day: From Basic to Beautiful Designs in Buttercream Wedding Cakes; Taking the Fear Out of Fondant Cakes; and Artisan Designed Sugar Flowers.

The Flowers: From the simple to the divine, flower selection for your wedding can make a tremendous statement about the wedding couple.

Add your own unique touches to the bridal bouquet, bridal shower centerpieces, wedding decorations or wedding reception arrangements by registering for Floral Design I, Floral Design II and Wedding Design.

The Pictures: Whether you hire a professional photographer or encourage a friend or family member to take on the role, these classes will get you and the official photographer ready for that special day. Courses available include Digital Photography; Sizzlin’ Photo Enhancements; Photoshop Introduction and Photoshop Intermediate.

The Invitations: Making wedding invitations allows a couple to be creative and express their style. Basics in graphic design software can get you prepared so consider starting with Illustrator Introduction and InDesign Introduction.

The Planning Website: With family and friends scattered around the world, creating a wedding planning website is becoming a standard practice for today’s wedding planners.

You can keep your guests up to date on details associated with destination weddings, where they can stay, travel arrangements, hotel discounts, links to your gift registries and much more. Taking a class in WordPress can let you have a beautiful site up and running by the very next day with its fun and easy to customize user interface.
