Journal Scene Blood drive set for Dec. 18

  • Tuesday, December 17, 2013

File/Journal Scene The Journal Scene bllod drive will take place at The Bank of Summerville, 100 N. Main St.

The Summerville Journal Scene and The Bank of South Carolina will sponsor a blood drive on Wed., Dec. 18, from 12-5 p.m.

The bloodmobile will be parked in front of The Bank of Summerville at 100 N. Main St.

The Red Cross will be giving T-shirts to those who come to donate.

The American Red Cross is in dire need of blood at this time. With people traveling during the holiday season, blood donations drop at a critical time, according to the Red Cross.

Appointments may be scheduled online in advance at www.redcrossblood.org, click on “make a blood donation appointment” and enter “scene” for the sponsor code.

This is the one gift you can give this time of year that won’t cost you a dime and can save someone’s life.
