A.M. Sheehan/Journal Scene DD2 Superintendent of Schools Sam Pye accepts a check for $1,000 from former student Jill Carway to go toward the district's fine arts' Artist in Residence program. Carway says she benefited so much from the Artist in Residence program while in school that she wants to give back.Jille and Robin Carway, owners of Four Green Fields, on Central Avenue in Summerville, hold a sale during the month of October with special items not normally available. The event has gained in popularity over the three years they have held it. Their donation to the district has grown from $500 the first year to double that this year. The sale is specifically to raise money for the fine arts program.
