Dorothy Allen Crossland

Dorothy Allen Crossland, 92, of Summerville, SC, widow of William J. Crossland , died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Hospice Center of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant. SC.

Funeral services were held on Saturday morning, December 21, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, LA. Burial followed at Forest Park Cemetery in Shreveport. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston, 676 Wando Park Blvd., Mt. Mrs. Crossland was born December 5, 1921, daughter of Fred Leon Allen and Lillie Janie Griggs Allen. She retired as a self-employed cosmetologist.

Survivors include one daughter, Jeanette Flowers (Bob) of Summerville; one sister, Ruth A. Broussard of CA; one brother, Benny Allen (Les) of Breaux Bridge, LA; five grandchildren, Randy Flowers (Mariennis), Scott Flowers (Candy), Vicki Gillis (Paul), Brent Crossland (Tanya) and Brigette Crossland; eight great grandchildren, Angela and Tess Gillis, Morgan Flowers, Emily and Will Flowers, Chance Crossland (Wendy), Katie Beth Bruxvoort (Andy) and Daxton Cline; two great-great grandchildren, Holden Bruxvoort and Tatum Crossland.
