Girls sought for scholarship competition

Distinguished Young Women of Dorchester County is seeking high school girls who will graduate in 2015 to participate in the scholarship program that awards $10,000 annually. Girls must reside in Dorchester County to participate.

Please join us for a workday on Saturday, January 11 from 10 a.m. until 4 pm., at Dorchester Academy cafeteria building, which is located at 234 Academy Rd. in St. George, SC.

The five phases of competition – interview, talent, fitness, self-expression and scholastics – will be explained.

Girls must bring a parent for the first hour of the workday so that they can learn about the program.
