Registration open for USTA Level 2 tournament

Registration is open for the Championships at Legend Oaks Plantation.

A warm-up for the 2014 League Tennis Seasons, the USTA sanctioned tournament is one of only two National Tennis Rating Program Level 2 adult events to be held in the Lowcountry this year.

Scheduled for Jan. 30 through Feb. 2, the Championships at Legend Oaks Plantation provides players the opportunity for a good tune-up in a fun environment prior to the Spring Tennis Season. Amenities include courtside refreshments, beer for players at the main site, meals for players provided throughout the weekend, a player gift, and championship and runner-up trophies.

Divisions include Singles (2.5-5.0), Doubles (2.5-4.5) and Mixed Doubles (6.0-10.0). Online Registration is available at www.sctennis.com/legendoaks through Jan. 26. Ccontact Andy Steingold at 737-3460.

This year’s tournament will benefit The Ark of Summerville, which provides hope and relief to families that have a loved one living with Alzheimer’s disease or another memory disorder.
