Oops, wrong house

  • Wednesday, January 15, 2014

Summerville Police were called to a home on South Main Street, Dec. 29 at 2:49 a.m., in response to a woman who woke up to discover a strange man sleeping on her sofa.

She had awakened her husband and son and neither knew who the man was.

According to an SPD incident report, the man had urinated on her sofa as well. When she asked him what he was doing he shouted at her “I’m sleeping!”

The woman told police there was no forced entry but that she thought the side door might have been left open.

The man was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He told police he thought he was at his uncle’s house. Dodd had been drinking at Montreaux and was asked to leave because he was intoxicated, the report stated.
