Yaxis, Ward to wed in winter ceremony

Lisa Ann Yaxis and Philip Heath Ward

Doug and Michelle Yaxis of Summerville, South Carolina announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Ann Yaxis, Esq. to Philip Heath Ward, Esq., son of Tim and Nan Ward of St. Marys, Georgia. Miss Yaxis, a graduate of Summerville High School, Columbia College and the Charleston School of Law, worked on Capitol Hill and practiced law for two years before becoming the Director of Major and Planned Gifts at her alma mater, Columbia College, in Columbia, South Carolina. Mr. Ward is a graduate of the University of Georgia, the graduate school at UGA, and the Charleston School of Law. Following law school, he served as the law clerk for the 15th Circuit Solicitorís Office in Georgetown, South Carolina and has recently passed the bar exam in November. He is currently teaching and coaching at Ashley Hall, a private school in Charleston, South Carolina. A winter 2015 wedding in the South Carolina Lowcountry is being planned.
