Lou Vega has joined PST Inc. of North Charleston as a technical specialist.
Vega spent the last 30 years dissecting computer software, networking and hardware systems, as well as analyzing how best to keep other people from compromising computer systems.
His accomplishments include providing computer systems security auditing and remediation for the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as creating the Disaster Recovery and Continuity of Operations Plan for the U.S. Navy Reserve Headquarters, which he then effectively implemented during Hurricane Katrina.
Vega has been twice recognized by Microsoft as a Most Valuable Professional for his pioneering work and contributions to the Mobile (Smartphone) development community. He has been recognized by CompTIA as a Subject Matter Expert in Computer Hardware, Data Center Best Practices, and Computer Security.
Vega is also a Certified Privacy Professional with a focus on U.S. Government Privacy regulations. A few of his past clients have included the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations, U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare System Center, U.S. Department of Transportation, the Internal Revenue Service and other private businesses of varying sizes throughout the United States.
He will be providing consulting services to PST clients to ensure their data is secure, networks are efficient, and business automation is in place.
