Summerville Police responded to Violet Drive in Robynwyn Jan. 8, for a report of a group of “school kids,” both male and female, who had thrown an object through the window of a house.
The witness told police she thought they attended Alston Middle School. Police observed a broken front window and a large object inside the residence. The owner of the residence reposnded to the scene and told police this was not the first time this has happened. He said he would board up the window until he could replace the glass.
Summer Park area targeted
Burglars targeted residences on Surlington Drive in Summer Park, Summerville Jan. 10, and made off with a haul of jewelry.
One victim called Summerville Police after arriving home in the evening to find the glass on the back door broken and $1,650 worth of jewelry and a cell phone missing from her ransacked bedroom. Another victim, next door, also arrived home that night to discover she, too, had been burglarized and they had taken $930 worth of jewelry after ransacking her bedroom.
