Police respond to Langley Drive incidents

Langley Drive in Evergreen in Summerville has been busy with police calls recently.

On Jan. 21 around 10 a.m. Summerville Police responded in reference to an assault at 110 Langley. The complainant reported that the assailant kicked in her front door and slapped her. However, the victim did not want police involvement.

Around 10 p.m., police responded in reference to a shooting next door at 112 Langley. The victim had been shot in her right thigh.

She told police she and others were sitting on the couch watching television when they heard four or five shots. The victim said someone shot the front of the house and a bullet went through the house and hit her in the thigh.

No one saw who did the shooting or the vehicle. The victim was transported by EMS to MUSC.

Shell casings were retrieved from in front of the residence.
