Burditts celebrate 60th anniversary

Robert Bruce Burditt and Sarah Jeanette Burditt of Summerville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Feb. 6. The couple was married on Feb. 6, 1954.

Mr. Burditt, originally of Cranford, N.J., is a retired employee of Lockheed Martin Energy Systems. Mrs. Burditt, maiden name Farley, is originally of Camilla, Ga. She is a retired employee of Herron-Connell Insurance Agency.

The couple has four children and three grandchildren. Their children are Audrey Lynne Burditt (and Jean Meyers), Russell (and Donna) Burditt, Judith (and Mike) Werley and Carol Burditt. They have three grandchildren: David, Makayla and Jasmine.

Mr. and Mrs. Burditt lived in Oak Ridge, Tenn. for more than 40 years. They moved to Summerville following their 50th wedding anniversary.

The couple’s children are hosting an anniversary celebration in their honor.
