Clayborne T. Pfaehler

Clayborne T. Pfaehler, 78, of Moncks Corner, SC died Monday, January 27, 2014 at his residence.

Mr. Pfaehler was born May 6, 1935 in Ridgeville, SC, a son of Clayborne Pfaehler, Jr and Susan Browning Pfaehler. He was a US Air Force veteran. He also worked for the US Postal Service. He was retired from Dorchester County Water and Sewer, enjoyed fishing on the Edisto River and loved animals especially dogs.

Survivors include two sisters, Marilyn Graves of Winter Park, FL and Susan Kreie of Tega Cay, SC; five nephews, Bill Graves, Jr., Mark Thrower, Danny Thrower, Lenair Thrower, Wayne Thrower; numerous cousins, including two special cousins, Faye Croft, who was his loving caregiver, and Johnny Marcotsis. He was predeceased by his sister, Martha Thrower; his brother, Clement Pfaehler; and a special cousin who was like a brother, Ned Pfaehler, Jr. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Amedisys Hospice, 1027 Physicians Dr., Suite 240, Charleston, SC 29414.

Arrangements are with Parks Funeral Home, 130 West 1st North Street, Summerville.
