  • Wednesday, February 12, 2014

A home on Crestwood Drive in Summerville suffered multiple bullet holes Monday, according to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.

At 6 a.m. county dispatch received a call regarding gunshots heard in the area. When the deputy arrived on scene he found nine cartridge casings in the street. He made contact with the victim who told him her residence had been shot. The victim’s son told police he had heard nine gunshots and immediately called 911. None of the residents of the home had any idea why they would be targeted and no one saw a vehicle or person outside.

According to the deputy’s report, he observed several bullet holes in the residence and one in a vehicle parked there. Two “projectiles” were located inside the residence.

County Crime Scene units processed the scene. The incident is under investigation
