On Jan. 28, at 8:05 p.m., Dorchester County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to CVS on Dorchester Rd., for an armed robbery.
Store employees were standing outside the locked store when deputies arrived. One told police that while she was vacuuming an aisle, she turned around and was confronted by a man dressed in all black with a face mask and a black handgun, who told her “hurry up” and get him all the money. He instructed her to open “both drawers” [registers] which she did.
The man grabbed the money and ran out of the store. The woman notified the pharmacy workers and they all left the store, locking it. There were no customers in the store at the time.
Police arrived with a K-9 unit but were unable to track the subject.
The DCSO crime scene unit processed the scene and collected video footage. The case is under investigation.
